‘Keteke’ Goes To Goethe-Institut

'Keteke', a film directed by Peter Sedufia, will be screened at the Goethe-Institut in Accra on Thursday, May 3 as part of a movie series dubbed 'African Perspectives'.

Set in the 1980s rail transport in Ghana, a couple – Boi (Adjetey Anang) and Atwei (Lydia Forson), living in Puna – is bent on delivering their first baby in their hometown Akete.

As the time for delivery draws near, the couple head to Akete. Unfortunately, they miss the train. Since the railway service is the only means of transport from the outskirts to the town, they are left in s state of dilemma.

What follows is a series of events filled with adventure, comedy and remarkable moments.

A product of the National Film and Television Institute (Accra) with a BFA degree in film directing, Sedufia has directed several short films with varied awards, including one from the FESPACO Film Festival in Burkina Faso.

Currently as the CEO of OldFilm Productions, he is also the director of 'Master' and '3 Maids' comedy series and founder of 'The Director's Call' workshop series.

Sedufia is presently involved in a series of productions in Ghana and overseas. Since its premiere in March 2017, 'Keteke' has been largely successful and is shown on several airlines, including Rwanda Airline, KLM, Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, among others. Goethe-Institut Ghana is supporting the screening.
