Ghana’s favourite movie theatre house, Silverbird Cinemas has joined forces with the country’s influential station, Joy FM and DStv for an exciting premiere of the latest blockbuster movie ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, is scheduled to have its world premiere on April 23, 2018, in Los Angeles and will show at the Silverbird Cinemas from April 25.
The film is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers. Two years after the Avengers were torn apart during the events of Captain America: Civil War, Thanos arrives on Earth to collect the Infinity Stones for a gauntlet that will allow him to bend reality to his will.
The Avengers must join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop him before his onslaught of destruction puts an end to half the universe.
It is intended to be the sequel to 2012's Marvel's The Avengers and 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron and the nineteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay by the writing team of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The film features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt.
To build euphoria towards the grand premiere, Joy FM has lined up several activities to usher in the film and also make viewing truly memorable.
Some of the activities lined up include, broadcast of shows from the venue, on-air promotions, giveaways, an exclusive interview with a superhero from the film and interviews with representatives of Marvel Studios. There will also be special Virtual Reality (VR) sessions.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will show at the Silverbird Cinemas from April 25 to April 27.
