Celebrated Hip-life/Hip-pop artiste, Captain Planet has released his much anticipated hit song ‘Akpeteshie’.
‘Akpeteshie’, is a Ghanaian spirit produced in Ghana by distilling palm wine or sugar cane. Other names for this drink include VC10, and apio. Frantically speaking,'Akpeteshie is the national spirit of Ghana.
Prior to the release of ‘ Akpeteshie’,Razzonline.com reported the likelihood of the Food and Drug Authority placing a ban on the song with regards to the lyrical content.
Produced by BeatBoss Tims, mix, mastered by Mix Master Garzy and delivered in Hi-life vein, Captain Planet expressed his misgivings as to how ‘Akpeteshie’ is being underrated simply because it’s locally manufactured here in Ghana.
Captain Planet, advised that children below 18 years should not be allowed to drink the spirit, and advocated that Ghanaians should patronize the spirit, but drink it responsibly.
‘Aketeshie’ is actually a captivating song that would soon catch the public domain like conflagration and transcend the borders of Ghana.
