It was a sparkling night on Sunday as Ophelia Crossland showcased her scintillating creations made with crystals from Swarovski at the La Beach Hotel in Accra.
Ophelia demonstrated astonishing creative use of Swarovski crystals with the designs which are crafted exclusively for the exhibition.
“Following the success story of my exhibition at the Swarovski event in Dubai, and subsequent Show in 17 other countries, I thought it wise to show Ghanaians how I represented our beautiful country out there, hence the decision for exposé.
In addition to the garment I exhibited, I made a collection of 16 other equally beautiful ones to add to the exposé,” Ophelia told NEWS-ONE after the exhibition.
The event brought together some of the biggest names in Ghana's fashion and showbiz industries, as well as personalities from the corridors of power to witness Ophelia’s Swarovski designs. Among them were Sandra Ankobiah, Elikem Kumordzi, Inna Mariam Patty, Fred Nuamah, Anita Erskine and a host of others.
Swarovski is the world leader in precision-cut crystals for over 120 years.
In March 2017, Ophelia Crossland was named West African ambassador for Swarovski for the second time.
She became the first Ghanaian and West African designer to represent the world brand in West Africa.
She is the only designer with right to Swarovski's tags and labels on her designs as a result.
In October 2017, she showcased her designs at the 2017 Swarovski Sparkling Couture Infinity Exhibition in Dubai.
The Sunday exhibition is her first to celebrate Swarovski designs in Ghana. It was held in collaboration with Agoo Magazine.
