The Episode VII of the Bang began a series that looks into pop culture to dig up business and marketing lessons to be learnt from celebs and entertainers. Of course, we started with a favourite of ours - the amazing Rihanna!

But just before we dive into the details of the week, our latest bandit, Damola shares her story.

I joined ID Africa just about 14 days ago! Someone should please pinch me! It seems like I’m living a dream. I guess it’s true what they say, that if you work hard on your dream, it usually ends up as reality.

Speaking of hard work, the IDA team is full of passionate, smart hard working guys and girls. And oh, yeah the guys are…(drumrolls)... super cute too! I sh*t you not! And the ladies are super cool too. It's only been my second week but they’ve been so helpful and supportive. S/O Bibi and Oyinda.

Prince is the UI/UX design specialist and prankster, but we’ve gotten along so well already. Kel looks after all the digital assets, but my first impression was that he’s that ears-plugged-always-serious-with-his-iMac-and-breakfast-cereal-husky-voice guy. LOL.

I'm still trying to understand Bibi. Usually busy scribbling in her notebook ideas for social media campaigns, yet she still manages to find time to disturb our peace. And there’s Subomi (I refuse to call him ‘Archie’), who spends half the time generating creative content ideas/designs, and the other half watching Youtube videos on his system. Oops! I snitched.

Yes! My name sake Oyinda, a.k.a ‘Bubbles’, a perpetual trouble maker (I'm sure Prince would agree with me on this) is the self-proclaimed ‘Digital Marketing Octopus’! She's the warm teddy bear who’s always ready to help. Have you read any of her stuff? Her writing is lit.

I'll leave my comment about Femi till next time I'm back on The Bang! For now, I'll just say, he is hella creative and of course, is our Team Cheerleader.

Ha, I can’t forget the big bully Dare ( He'll probably be mean to me after this), who I just met 2 days ago after he returned from vacation. It feels like I've known him for a long time. Apart from having mad rap skills (check out Cykic) , he’s also a video guru and jaw-dropping creative artist.

I’m just lucky to be a part of this dope team. #NewJob #SecondWeek #WorkPlace #TeamIDA

One of the most interesting things this week was actually researching and learning more about Rihanna.

Seeing different sides to the girl with the 'wild wild thoughts' - for instance, her strong connection with her family, the fact that she was a cadet in her younger days, and then her business acumen and carefully crafted brand makes the read worthy.
