Ghana’s most beautiful 2011, Salomey Akua Amoakowaa Mensah, on Wednesday donated some items worth hundreds of Ghana cedis to inmates of James Camp Prison in Accra.
The kind gesture was part of the ex-queen’s birthday celebration on Wednesday to put smiles on the faces of inmates and also to celebrate with them.
Among items donated were over five bags of rice, gallons of Frytol cooking oil, exercise books, cartons of soft drinks, toiletries and other products.
Akua was accompanied by some of her friends in the entertainment industry who were there to support her.
The mother of two boys is one of the enterprising figures in Ghana’s showbiz scene. She is currently the host of Purple Room on Angel TV and also the general manager at Angel TV.
The Wednesday charity event is one of her numerous activities under her Street Aid Ghana Foundation, which targets the underprivileged in society.
