I Never Said I Smoke Weed- Efya

Ghanaian songstress Efya has been reacting to claims that she is a good smoker of marijuana, otherwise called weed.

Speaking on The Delay Show, Efya who is signed to Wizkid's Starboy Entertainment label denied she smokes weed, but said if even she smokes weed, she cannot disclose that on The Delay Show.

However, she explained her teeth which look like that of a weed smoker is because she hardly goes to the dentist.

“I have never said I smoke marijuana… but I don't have anything against marijuana. I know that there are people who use it for their own thing. If I take marijuana it is not here that I will come and say it. May be later then we look at that,” she said.

Asked why it is out there that she smokes weed, Efya blamed that on her close connection with musical group R2bees, whom she alleged “smokes weed.”

“I think the boys Padae, R2bees they put it out when they were smoking and I think because of my affiliation with them but I don't think that should be a point. I don't think just because I hang out with people who smoke, you should think that I smoke too.”

Efya is publicly known for smoking cigarette. Her denial of smoking weed comes at time some influential personalities in Ghana have been fighting for the legalisation of the substance.

Meanwhile on The Delay Show, Efya denied having a sexual relationship with her boss, Wizkid. She also revealed she has been single for almost a year after breaking out from her longtime boyfriend, whose name she didn't mention.

According to her, she is currently taking her time to get a better man. Even though she refused to answer questions on whether she cheated on her ex-lover, she revealed that they were both not perfect and that led to their break-up. Although she is still single, Efya stated that she is not worried because she can satisfy herself sexually.
