Don’t Be Deceived By Glamorous Lifestyle Of Celebrities, Some Are Fake – Shirley Frimpong-Manso

Movie producer and director Shirley Frimpong-Manso has cautioned the general public from being swayed by the glamorous lifestyles of entertainment personalities warning that some are fake.

She noted that some of the flashy things some of these celebrities display on social media are often borrowed to keep their names floating.

For some time now, some entertainment personalities have been accused of living lives beyond their means.

Recently, former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah revealed in an interview with JoyNews’ MzGee that many Ghanaian entertainment personalities live fake lifestyles.

Appiah, who is also a fashionista, noted that many of the country’s celebrities only pretend to be living glitzy and glamorous lifestyles just for social media and fame.

Shirley Frimpong-Manso speaking in an interview on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM with Lexis Bill Monday, she said showbiz is not glamorous.

“No, it's not…if you stay on social media too long, you will properly kill yourself. It is not that glamorous. I guess showbiz means that you properly need to make a showy,” the acclaimed movie producer said. .

Advising young ladies who want to venture into the industry, Shirley said, “it is not as glamorous as it seems so a lot of you out there sitting around and watching all these videos on social media with people standing by some cars and driving these flashy cars; it is not that glamorous trust me.”

“Some of them [flashy things] have not been paid for,” she stressed.

The movie producer strongly believes that most of the celebrities only look for likes and more followers with the hope that, “more followers means more money.”

Shirley believes “If people knew the real truth” they won’t be swayed by what they see out there.

She singled out young girls as always being vulnerable to these fake lifestyles being portrayed by some of these entertainment personalities.
