SEP 21, 2017 LISTEN

A night of quality music with an exceptional crooner, Ete Diakitse, who will catch the attention of good music lovers with his ability to sing in both French and English languages in his Album launch on Saturday, 23rd September at 8pm at the Amphitheatre of Alliance Francaise Accra.

Born Ete Komlan Dakitse – Benissan in the Togolese capital, Lome, he is widely known across the francophone African music space as Ete Dakitse.

His unique and sweet soft singing voice is complimented by his ability to sing in two languages – French and English.

At the age of 15, his mother was with their local church choir and that inspired him to join them and sing.

As a Catholic, he grew up well disciplined and did not compromise on moral standards. Singing with the church choir and performing at school with friends for fun, he joined some friends to do music as a career and in the course of that they were recommended by a friend to a talent scout, Edwin Edinkrah during his business trip across the West African Coast, Edwin discovered Ete as the most talented among the friends.

After school, in 2016 Edwin was able to get him a Ghanaian entertainment company to fund his live recording sessions in Sunset Recording Studios, South Africa, where he worked with most of the renowned instrumentalists and recorded 10 songs for his debut album named L’amour Vrai.

He sings Opera, Soul, Pop, Classics, world music, Blues and Jazz; and is inspired by the works of Elthon John, George Michaels, Michael Bolton, Lionel Richie, Mariam Makeeba, and many others.

Rate: ¢35.00 for Adults, ¢15.00 for AF students and Cultural Members. Free for children under 16.
