MAR 1, 2017 LISTEN

Controversial rapper, Kwame A Plus has lauded Yaa Pono for responding accurately to the self-proclaimed Dancehall King, Shata Wale in a song titled ‘Gbe Naabu’.

Just a few moments after the dancehall king released a vulgar song to defeat him in an on-going rap feud.

The 'beef' between Yaa Pono and Shatta Wale began when the former was prevented from performing at a show at the Cape Coast Stadium where Shatta Wale was the headline act.

Yaa Pono later suggested in the media he was not allowed to come on stage because he would have stolen Shatta Wale’s shine.

Manager of Shatta Wale, Julio Olympio in a Facebook post suggested that Yaa Pono peddled untruth.

“… Shatta has made it a point to suggest Yaa Pono anytime event organizers ask which act he wants on his platform so why this unnecessary rants…when clearly it’s either your road manager isn’t working with time? Or rather direct your rants to the producers of the event…Same thing happened in Abetifi…Unnecessary, Unnecessary, Unnecessary hype ….” the post read.

Yaa Pono, shortly after the post, took to Instagram and challenged anyone to disrespect him in a live video or say “fi”.

Eventually, Monday, through a Facebook live post, Shata Wale managed to say ‘Fi’ through a song titled ‘Say Fi’ to literally counter Pono’s claim of been Ghana's most loved lyricists.

But the Uptown Energy front-liner Yaa Pono, well known for his word play, brought the heat back to the game with his fired up song “Gbe Naabu’ which he released as a response to Shatta Wale’s ‘Say Fi’.

It is with this that the controversial rapper, A Plus took to his post on Facebook to adjudged Yaa Pono winner of the rap battle.

“Ok we have conceded defeat. This one di3 we lose. We shall be back. So is it that everyone wants to fight Shata Wale or Shata Wale wants to fight everyone? Which is which....?”

“As for me, I like Shatta's music. I don’t have to like someone's personality to like good music.

"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. To me, he does some very good music. As for the person he is, who am I to judge another man? Bui...!”

“But Yaa Pono.... Herh!!! Hmmmmm!!! Naano y3 yaw ankaza. #Ababullsh*t so nyin…” the post read.
