Who Wins Artiste, New Act Of The Year?

Nominations for the 2017 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA)

Festival were officially unveiled last Friday by Charterhouse Productions, organizers of the event.

As expected, the category of Artiste of the Year is what has been generating the most anxiety over the years and this year's list was no exception as it is being competed by some of Ghana's finest artistes in the persons of  E.L (the reigning Artiste of the Year), Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Mzvee and Medikal.

Interestingly, this year's nomination list for the category of New Artiste of the Year is equally intriguing and likely to be one of the fiercest.

It has Medikal, Nii Funny, Fancy Gadam, Article Wan, Feli Nuna, Ebony Reigns, Rudebwoy Ranking and Eugy as the contestants.

The VGMA has become the biggest and most significant annual entertainment event in Ghana.  For over a decade-and-a-half, it has grown into a Festival of Music and Entertainment that has gained recognition across Africa and beyond.
