When mentioning entertainment show hosts who have contributed immensely in making entertainment shows the opiate of most Ghanaians,never can you omit the name of Accra Fm’s Dj Premier.
Yes,Dj Premier is one of the most illustrious radio presenters in Ghana.No wonder he is named Dj Premier.
But before a man becomes successful in life,there is always one special person who assisted him to achieve his aspiration of becoming successful a reality.
This is exactly the case with the renowned broadcaster who was introduced into radio by astute radio presenter , Nathaniel Osei Kuffour aka Mahony in early 2000s at Focus Fm in Kumasi.
At a tender age,Dj Premier’s aspiration was to become a TV presenter but his love for DJing started when he followed other djs who were playing on cassette decks at night clubs and pubs in Kumasi .Those were the days that when the song ends someone would have to rewind the cassette with a pen.
Born in real life as Bismark Boakye to Mr Alex Boakye a former Fire service personnel in the Ashanti Region and Comfort Ofori,Dj Premier, the last born of his parents three children was brought up in a discipline home and received the training that has positively impacted his career
He hails from Edwiso Onwe in the Ashanti Region and married to Mrs Mavis Boakye with two lovely children namely; Kofi Boakye and Nana Yaa Boakyewaa.
He started his basic education at New Oxford International School in Kumasi and then completed his secondary education at T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi.He holds diploma in broadcast journalism-ICM(UK)
Presently at Accra 100.5fm,he is the host of’ “Entertainment Capital” that runs from 10am-12pm on Saturdays.His way of presenting the show is prodigious
.Aside hosting the entertainment show,he also produces the mid- morning drive show from Monday to Friday.
His favourite actors are Agya Koo,John Dumelo and Nana Ama Mcbrown with Sarkodie,Amakye Dede,Guru and Daddy Lumba as his favourite musicians.
