Clarification On Reggie Rockstone - Jay-Z Concert

The Management of Reggie Rockstone wishes to inform the public that the initial management statement issued to the media that Charter House Ltd., promoters of the Jay-Z in Ghana Concert, intentionally thwarted Reggie Rockstone's appearance alongside Jay-Z, was without bases.

Although Charter House had no obligation whatsoever, to negotiate with Jay-Z's management on Rockstone's behalf, they did make genuine efforts to suggest a collaborative effort between Rockstone and Jay-Z, but was rebuffed by Jay-Z's management.

Additionally, it was reported that local artistes who opened for Jay-Z were not paid for their performances. This was not true. All local artistes who performed were duly rewarded.

Finally, we would like to emphasise, Rockstone does not harbour any animosity or ill feelings towards Charter House Ltd, but has always enjoyed cordial relations with the entity as a promoter.

We regret any confusion or misunderstanding that might have resulted in the media reports, as well as the management's statements which might have misinformed the public.

As we noted in our original statement, “Although it seems that Rockstone boycotted the Jay-Z concert, that is not true. Reggie Rockstone did not attend the Jay-Z concert, because to do so would have compromised the respect and integrity his many fans have for him.

Rockstone had no desire to personally reinforce the shabby opportunistic treatment often accorded local artistes when a named international artiste performed in Ghana.
