A fact finding committee has been set up by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) to investigate the current situation of popular hiplife star Okomfo Kwaadee.

This follows reports that the star, who has been a virtual recluse over the past several months is said to be suffering from extreme psychological and emotional stress, which has by and large affected his music career.

Members of the committee are gospel musician Jude Lomotey, highlife star Osei Kofi and Clement Awuku, Public Relations Officer of MUSIGA.

In a phone conversation, the president of MUSIGA, Alhaji Sidiku Buari told Graphic Showbiz that the union is aware of rumours about the condition of Okomfo Kwaadee but has no facts as regards to what is happening to him.

He said several attempts to locate him have proved futile and that close associates contacted by the MUSIGA have denied that he is in crisis.

Alhaji Buari, who is also the vice president of the International Federation of Musicians added that MUSIGA will act on the recommendations of the committee and offer any assistance that may be required.

A number of people have expressed their desire to assist the star who they have missed for a while and actually looking forward to have him back on stage.

Tinny, a stylish hiplife artiste said he has heard rumours about the condition of Kwaadee but has no knowledge of the exact problem adding that he will be willing to offer assistance if necessary.

Although efforts by Graphic Showbiz failed to locate him, several people close to the Okomfo, who is reported to be living in and around Spintex road in Accra, where tightlipped on his condition and refused to divulged information to Graphic Showbiz.

However, Quick Action, a sound engineer who worked on Kwaadee's latest album insisted that there is no cause for alarm since the musician is fine and well. He added that he has met the star in recent times- and he does not seem to be in a state that requires support or assistance.

A highly popular musician among Ghanaian hiplife fans, Okomfo Kwaadee has four albums to his credit with hits such as 'Me Yere Ne Mpena', 'Komfo Se Koo' and 'Ka Wo Nan To So'.

He has also thrilled numerous hiplife fans during performance tours overseas.
