I See Myself Driving Miss Ghana Car – Adwoa Konadu

The search for the next Miss Ghana has just begun and 23-year-old Adwoa Konadu Somuah-Boateng is very confident of winning.

According to her, her few weeks' participation in Miss Ghana has taught her a lot. She said she was enjoying the pageant one step at a time and that it would be an overwhelming experience should she be crowned Miss Ghana.

'Oh yeah, of course, I see myself driving that car and wearing the crown. I can't think about how overwhelming that would be like but when I think about it, it will be an overwhelming thing for me,' she told NEWS-ONE over the weekend.

Adwoa is representing the Eastern Region and is not just beautiful but bold, outspoken, intelligent and, above all, a role model for many young ladies.

A Theatre Arts and Psychology student of the University of Ghana, she is waiting to graduate in two months' time.

She had basic education at the Golden Sunbeam Montessori School at Adenta and her secondary education at Aburi Girls Senior High School, after which she gained admission into the University of Ghana.

She comes from a family of four. As the first born, a lot is expected of her since her siblings, nieces and nephews always look up to her.

As a kid, she had always admired models but considering current events, she now prefers to be a successful entrepreneur.

According to her, being part of Miss Ghana is a dream come true and she is grateful to be part of the experience.

'When I was a little girl, people called me Miss Ghana but that's like every little girl's nickname. They don't call you any other nickname except Miss Ghana. I think that is how big the Miss Ghana brand is.

'I am enjoying every single day of Miss Ghana and I love the discipline. Miss Ghana chaperons and Inna Patty are very strict on us and I am just enjoying the discipline because I know that after this, I will be more poised, and more elegant. I am more conscious now. I know how to smile now. I filter my words; you don't just say anything anywhere, anytime. It's like boarding school all over again. I am really enjoying the discipline. The discipline; that's what I am enjoying. It's fun too but I'm enjoying the discipline,' she added.

With or without the Miss Ghana crown, she hopes to start an etiquette class for girls because she has noticed a lot of girls are lacking in that area.
