01.09.2015 LISTEN

Having given fans a foretaste of the new song in a performance at actor Ekow Smith Asante's wedding, rapper Okyeame Kwame released his much anticipated song titled Small Small on Friday, August 28.

The new song which features MzVee in a duet with Okyeame Kwame is a masterpiece from the studios of Appietus and touches on the need not to despise small beginnings.

In its concept, Okyeame Kwame and MzVee are portrayed as two good friends who have had affection for each other since childhood. Their friendship grows stronger in later years when they decide to become soul partners rather than ordinary friends.

Prior to its release, Okyeame Kwame, together with his team of choreographers, performed the song at actor Ekow Smith Asante's wedding a fortnight ago, after which he dedicated the song to the newly wedded couple admonishing them not to despise small beginnings.

Speaking on the motive behind the song, Okyeame Kwame said 'The song seeks to encourage small beginnings and that the big things we see today began small. It also seeks to admonish people to follow procedures in life because if you don't crawl, you can't walk. People should also learn to accord respect to all persons regardless of their status in life.'

Okyeame Kwame is also expected to perform the song for the first time at +233 Jazz Bar and Grill today at Kanda at 10:00pm.
