RTP AWARDS: Peace FM, Okay FM To Grab More Awards

Despite Group of Companies - owners of Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM  and UTV– are part of nominees unveiled last Wednesday at the launch of 2015 Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards at Alisa Hotel in Accra.

At the event, the nominees for this year's event were officially announced, and several great personalities and programmes on radio and television which were nominated include Okay FM‘s morning show host Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, Peace FM‘s mid-morning show host Kofi Kum Bilson, DJ Old Soldier, Dan Kwaku Yeboah, Entertainment Review host Kwasi Aboagye and others for radio.

Newscasters nominated from the Despite Group include Nana Yaw Kesse (Peace FM), Akosua Ago Aboagye (Okay FM/Peace FM), Nana Yaa Konadu (Peace FM), Afia Adutwuwaa Morosa (UTV), Dickson Tweneboah Kodua (UTV) and Adwoa Yeboah Agyei (UTV).

Programmes nominated include Adekye Nsroma (UTV), UTV News (UTV), Kokrokoo (Peace FM) and Peace Power Sports (Peace FM).

Bola Ray was nominated alongside Bernard Avle of Citi FM and veteran sports journalist Kwabena Yeboah for the Radio and Television Personality of the Year Award.

Host of Starr Today Bernard Nassara Saibu was also nominated for Newscaster of the Year (English version) while Morning Starr was also nominated for the Best Radio Morning Show of the Year.

Awards across 30 categories will also be given out to deserving personalities who head different programming formats on mainstream radio and television nationwide.
