Chronicle Reporter Wins Gold Award
Daniel Nonor of The Chronicle newspaper has been adjudged the ' Best Feature Writer' of the year, at the 2013 edition of the Gold Business Award organized last Saturday.
The Gold Business Awards is an industry award which celebrates excellence in financial and economic reporting in the country.
Mr. Nonor beat two contenders to pick up the converted award on the night.
Head of jury for the awards, Mrs Matilda Asante, commended the nominees for the quality of materials which were presented for the awards and urged all journalists to strive for excellence in their field of work.
Commenting on his award, Mr. Nonor said ” I am particularly happy that my work has received this kind of recognition, but I must add that good writers are not born, editors make them.”
He was, however, grateful to his editors and colleagues who urged him to go for the award.
Rebekah Adwoa Awuah of GBC was adjudged the overall Business Journalist of the year 2013. She won two other awards, namely Reporter of the Year (TV) and Economic Reporter of the year.
