The great turn out last Friday is evidence that the Mirror Ball has become a staple on the entertainment calendar and has the power to attract its quota of mature fun lovers on any given weekend despite stiff competition.

This was disclosed by Edwin Baffour of Tag Team Ltd, the event organizers when he was interviewed at the well-attended unique last Friday of every month event on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar.

'Who would have thought that on a weekend when many trendsetters and fun lovers left Accra, the Mirror Ball would have such a massive turn out?  As you may be able to confirm, hundreds travelled to Kumasi to silence the 'Chipolopolo threats' as well as many who made it a point to head west for the celebration of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye of the Chiefs and people of Cape Coast', Mr. Baffour added.

The party lasted till dawn as usual and patrons were treated to the usual barrage of old school classic tunes.

William Nanka- Bruce aka DJ Blow delivered his own version of a musical verdict and there was unanimous agreement on the dance floor with all hands raised high in the air from side to side.  The complimentary gold masks adorned with beautifully coloured accessories like exotic feathers animated faces on the dance floor and brought the theme to life.

The Branche Lounge of the Golden Tulip Hotel, each last Friday of the month, rolls out the red carpet and for early guests the finest cocktails from Kasapreko's African inspired liqueur's provides for a thirst quenching welcome.

The next event which is only three weeks away on September 27th will see the return of the 'Polo Play' theme where guests can come dressed in the finest Polo shirts and jeans to the envy of any paparazzi lens!

Vodafone, one of the event sponsors also engaged guests as they negotiated the red carpet with great offers on smart phones and other attractive customer packages.

Advance tickets can be bought at the front desk of the Golden Tulip in Accra.

Admission is still GHC 40 and doors open from 10 pm.  The Mirror Ball is brought to you by Golden Tulip Hotel and Tag Team.  It is sponsored by Kalahari Bitters, Vodafone and supported by Inkit and Y 107.9fm.
