Hayaat To Hit Ghana TV Screens
Hayaat TV show, a new series that seeks to make public the beautiful sides of the zongo communities and further patch up the violent area that it is perceived to be, will soon hit the Ghanaian television screens.
Hayaat, which literally means 'life' in Arabic, will be more of an innovative Islamic TV show, which concept is aimed at informing, educating and entertaining the general public in a modern way.
The show would further talk about the teachings and the proscribed lifeclass of Muslims, in comparison with the prevailing environment of today.
Speaking at the launch, which was held in Accra last week, the originator of the show, Mr. Awal Iddrissu, in an interview with The Chronicle said: 'This concept was created to fill the void in Ghanaian TV programming?
'The show comes in various segments which tackle peculiar issues on its own, but in the end, the goal is to keep viewers well informed on Islamic theme', he said.
The show, he noted, would be aired for 30 minutes and will also showcase the entertainment side of the Zongo communities, aside the numerous problems that beset the area.
He added that: 'perhaps it sits well that the story is told of who we are as a people, where we have come from and where they are heading', he intoned.
The production Manager, Abdul Hamid Issah, stated that the show will be aired on Etv this Saturday. He disclosed that the show has five segments namely; The Recital, Lessons, Model Mosque, Ummatul Islam plus News and Events.
