Some Ghanaians woke up Monday to rumours that renowned actor Adjetey Anang, popularly known as Pusher has passed on.
The news came to many as a surprise and considering the fact that not much has been heard from the actor who shot into fame through the popular television series Things We Do For Love, some were quick to conclude that it was true.
Adjetey Anang during an interview with Myjoyonline.com Monday, reacted to rumours stating he is alive and kicking: “No I am not dead.”
Pusher laughed off the reports of his death and said he started receiving calls concerning the issue about three days ago from colleagues and family.
According to him, the news does not come as a surprise to him, considering the fact that several personalities have been falsely pronounced dead before their time.
“I knew that these things can come up sometimes, I'm relaxed and I have nothing to worry about at all,” he said.
Asked what might have fuelled the false rumours, he noted that he has not been ill lately and believes that it might be due to the fact that he had been out of Ghana for a month.
Pusher said, “I was out of town close to a month and I just came in three days ago.”
Asked what might have kept him out of the country for a month, the fine actor said he was on holidays in the US.
Adjetey Anang added that he was also in the United Kingdom to feature in a television series - Abbeam Girls - producer by UK-based Ghanaian producer Abbeam Danso. That series also features Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei.
