I Am More Matured To Respond To Insults—New Afia Schwarzenegger
Valery Nana Hemaa Nhyira Acheampong, co-host of Adom Billboard, an entertainment program on Adom FM, and the lead character in the Afia Schwarzenegger series on TV has said in an interview with Flex newspaper that she is too mature to be responding to insults from her predecessor.
The 'Afia Schwarzenegger' TV series started with Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa who is also the current drive time host of Happy FM, until later she left a lacuna for Nana Hemaa to fill. But since the latter assumed her new post, the former has always cast aspersions on the programme and her surrogate.
In a chat with the new 'Afia Schwarzenegger' Nana Hemaa, she revealed to Flex Newspaper that, the old 'Afia Schwarzenegger' Valentina is not her personal friend, but anytime she meets her, she tries to show her respect by greeting her or saying hi.
'I don't have any problem with her but people tell me she has been insulting and criticizing me but as a mature person, you don't always have to hit back at people who say bad things about you,' she noted.
She also dispelled criticism that she had not performed to the billing since she replaced Valentina. 'There are people who watched the series because of me and there were people who watched it because of the previous character, so don't expect things to be the same. Each of us has a different class,' she stated.
Nana Hemaa who won an award in Ghana Movie Awards for Best Actress in a TV series received her plaque last weekend with her real name boldly engraved on it. Even though she has been approached by many movie producers for movie roles, she is still giving herself sometime before she makes any decision.
She expressed her gratitude to Deloris Frimpong Manso, the executive producer of the Afia Schwarzenegger series and her fans for supporting her to win her first awards in the showbiz industry.
