At every awards event, there are surely going to be situations where some individuals who think they deserve an award lose to other competitors in the same category.
One is expected to act maturely when these things happen, and report the matter to the appropriate quarters or hold a press conference to voice his disagreement on the awards; and who he or she thinks should be the winner for the day.
This was not the situation for the night of the awards at the Accra conference center. As soon as Ghana's female dancehall artist, Kaakie, was announced the winner for the Reggae DanceHall Song of the Year, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, better known by his stage name Bandana (Shatta Wale), who was also a contender in the same category as, Blakk Rasta, Eazzy, Knii Lante and Samini; stormed out of the main auditorium where the awards was taking place, to the corridor of the conference center to voice out his anger and frustration, for not winning the award.
He was withheld by the security personnel, and his crew at the corridor after continuously trying to push down some of the decorations at the corridor.
He later went on the social media network, twitter, to vent his resentments on the Ghana music industry, the Awards, Charter House and Kaakie.
These are some of his tweets
