Adofowaa Nana Yaa also known as Fidel Obaasima, winner of Miss Ghana's Queen Holland 2011, is certainly one of a kind who defines true beauty with magnanimity by ensuring that the underprivileged also benefit from her pool of rich resources.
Fidel is a Ghanaian actress, television personality and former model. Her talent came to light when she won the Miss Ghana's Queen Holland 2011 and further represented Ghana at Miss Queen World 2011 in Germany. Born on August 20, 1992 in Ghana, she grew up with her single mom, Naomi Duah.
The beautiful and confident lady begun her education at Legon Primary School in Accra and furthered her education at the Grace Jay International School in Kumasi and Datus Complex in Kasoa before she finally left Ghana for Holland.
While in Holland, Fidel took her acting, which had started from her primary school days back home in Ghana, moved a step further. At age sixteen, she joined a Television group in Amsterdam known as the Agro Maa TV (GAM TV). Fidel shot her first movie 'Test of Love', playing the lead character. She then continued with movie and television appearances including, 'Comfort Without Comfort','Akwantuo Mu Nsem', 'Efiewura','Trust', 'Amsterdam Nyonko', 'Bo Bra Pa'. She currently hosts programmes on both the radio and television stationsin Holland including Recogy FM, AkasaNoma FM, GamTV.
After a successful humanitarian project in the village of Bundase, in old Ningo Prampram, where she has successfully provided a borehole water facility that now serves the community with pure and clean water, the all great Obaasima is spreading her wings to other parts of Ghana.
This time around, she is seeking extend her magnanimous activities to the Northern regions.
Some of the target areas according to her group, Edge Career Management Concept, include East Gonja: Lamsah, Kpanshegu and Bau, Central Gonja: Nyala, Makpan and Zanzugu Yanpala.
About The Whole Project
SUPPORTING THE EDUCATION AND ERADICATION OF GUINEA WORM DISEASE (DRACUNCULIASIS) IN THE NORTHERN REGION OF GHANA
Guinea Worm Disease (GWD): is an infection caused by the parasite Dracunculus medinensis, a parasite is an organism that feeds off of another to survive. It's a nodular dermatitis produced by the development of Dracunculus parasite in the subcutaneous tissue of mammals.
Sanitation: is the hygienic means of promoting health through prevention of human contact with the hazards of wastes and disease.
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the designed program is to rehabilitate, restore and manage the society and implementing activities aimed at restoring the ecological integrity of some districts Environs. Thus far undertaken have resulted in extensive awareness and clean-up.... Domestic role often places the responsibility for preventing water borne nematode infections.
.why now?
MISSION:
We inspire and empower community groups, schools, businesses, and local governments to join as Members and carry out community-based activities that address local environmental and health issues, by facilitating local action, Clean up the affected districts brings about community environmental change, borehole or wells.
VISION:
In ensuring better community guinea worm disease free, we outlined a designed program to bring about a quantitative perfect healthcare in the society. This project in making a societal conducive environmental sanitation for the districts, guided by our aspiration of a better youth care and healthcare in the community against the dreadful diseases, we have a conclusion of a better Northern region districts.
But, why?
CONCEPT:
We cannot refrain altogether from examining the roots of this controversy if only because the extreme views for and against supporting the education and eradication have exerted and are still exerting a . . . highly detrimental influence on public health practice in the society. Our concept of this project and also organizing a clean up exercise is to bring a perfect sanitation and better health in the society so as to clear up the diseases in the districts of the northern region of Ghana and bring a better life and water-borne nematodes infections free.

BENEFIT:
In the cause of this exercise, we are going to be setting out major sectors to provide a better health care for the society. It is going to stop the rampant of death roll in the community, bring good healthcare amongst the youth, and reprehend the mental ability of the society.

Borehole or Wells People become infected with Guinea worm by drinking water from ponds and other stagnant water, drinking water drawn only from sources that is free from contamination is another means of prevention. With our plan on planting boreholes in the districts, we plan on creating this means in the five shortlisted districts Central Gonja, East Gonja, Gushiegu, Karaga, Nanumba North in the Northern region of Ghana. And the exercise will be performed in two districts (central Gonja and East Gonja)
