
Viasat1 has acquired the exclusive rights to air the first scripted reality drama series in Ghana, 'Bedroom Diaries of a Black Woman', from June this year.
Executive produced by Head of Viasat 1 own OP Manager, Benny Bonsu, 'Bedroom Diaries of a Black Woman' follows the friendships and relationships of five female friends who challenge the norms and values of the 21st century African woman. The series is based on the real life stories of the characters in the show with celebrity guest appearance by well known and loved personalities.
Leading the cast is Benny Bonsu, who plays the character of Lexis Shah, a PR Manager and Writer who lives an anonymous double life as a confessional radio presenter for an after dark show, which she keeps a secret from her girls. Having being unsuccessful with finding love, Lexis now lives her life like a woman scorned, but also has a kind heart for people she cares about.
The star-studded cast includes the lovable Belinda Dzattah, Maame Adjoa, Mackie Sassu and the Fabulous Julia Clement with guest appearances by Vivian Achor, PY Addo-Boateng, Guud Kelly, David Oscar and more.
BDOABW would take viewers on a journey full of emotions as reality is brought to bear through confessions of these five beautiful women. The premiere on Viasat 1 will be preceded by a press launch on 30th May, 2013. Title sponsors are RLG Uhuru and SHE Energy drinks, with support from La Villa Boutique Hotel, Woolworth, and Lurick Concept.
