Girls' Secrets In The Hands Of KSM?

11.10.2012 LISTEN
By Daily Graphic

One can never tell what KSM has up his sleeve at any given time until he reveals it and when he does, the mirth that greet those revelations has often been loud and long.

Such is likely to be the response at Christmas when he mounts the National Theatre stage as a satirist to perform the latest script he has just finished writing The Secrets of GH Girls.

For anyone who has been closely following KSM’s escapades on stage, two issues pop up immediately. First, KSM has been noted for his political satires especially in an election year. He has been one of those who have helped to lower the political temperature at such times when most people would rather stick to the dictum that “politics is no laughing matter”.

Second, if KSM is indeed in possession of any secrets, how safe would those secrets be in his hands? As a person who is known for spewing people’s most intimate secrets in public, even bedroom discussions between a President and his wife, how can such a person be trusted?

This is why observers of KSM trends may advise Ghana girls to start running for cover now if they value their safety.

Asked why he is changing his tune this time round, away from politics, KSM told Showbiz last Tuesday, “I find the current crop of GH girls very fascinating and on Christmas day, everyone will know why they are such an important subject matter”.

It has not been confirmed whether in The Secrets of GH Girls KSM will take on the character of a woman because the last time he donned women’s clothes to play Afia Siriboe, KSM described his experience as being “my most challenging and fascinating role”.

He explained to Showbiz then that the role was “challenging because I have to go into and stay in character as a woman for over 75 minutes, and fascinating because ‘she’, without a doubt is the most adored and admired of all the characters I have created.

KSM is at it again and come Christmas, it is certain that theatre lovers will vote and return him to office as the Undisputed King Of Comedy in Ghana.
