Management of Caspot Restaurant has announced that its band, Caspot International Band, formed a couple of months ago in Accra, will perform today to honour the late President at the Caspot Resturant near Nyaho Clinic in Accra.
The band is expected to take the stage at 5:00pm, and with its reputation for keeping patrons on their feet for hours, customers of Caspot should expect a great show.
The event, according the management of Caspot, would be historic and would be an evening of fun and glamour for music fans.
The band, which would concentrate on highlife, hiplife, among others, was formed to help bring back live band music which was the toast of many music followers in the country some years ago.
Admission to the show is free.
In a related development, the members of Caspot International Band have expressed their sympathy and condolence to the widow, Madam Naadu Mills, the family and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
They prayed that God would grant the entire nation the fortitude to bear this loss, adding that they were comforted by the fact that the late President was an exemplary leader who served his people and left a legacy.
'May the good Lord grant him a safe haven and keep him in his bosom until we meet again. We, the members of Caspot Band would forever have him in our memories for his support for the creative industry in Ghana'.
