All is set to for this month's edition of the Exopa New Faces contest.
The event, which was anticipated to add some glamour to the modelling and fashion activities this month, would as usual, come off at the Exopa Burg, behind the Accra International Trade Fair Centre, on Saturday, July 28.
Currently, the Exopa Modelling Agency was leaving no stone unturned to provide an exciting show.
Last Saturday, the agency held an audition to pick wannabe models for the occasion. The numbers were encouraging but not as last month's, which was described as unprecedented.
The Exopa New Faces was aimed at creating a platform for wannabe young models to explore their modelling talent. For the past months, a lot of models have passed through the show and more models have shown interest in the event as a platform to nurture their modelling talent.
Last month's female contest was won by 19-year-old Adzie Janet Afi, while the male contest was won by 19-year-old Odey Ibrahim Peter, a student of Radford University College.
The fashion and modelling contest, which also projected summer tourism, saw models display different outfits, especially, miniskirts and bikinis, made from African fabrics.
The event celebrated Ghana's fashion industry and also promoted African fabrics while giving beautiful African ladies, particularly Ghanaians, the necessary training and opportunity to build a career in the modelling industry.
The event was organised by Exopa and supported by NEWS-ONE and Metro TV's 'Allo TiGo'.
The winner was guaranteed an exposure on the above-mentioned media platforms and beyond. The winner would also get a two-year contract with Exopa, both at home and abroad in addition to other souvenirs.
