I'M IN LOVE WITH BOMAYE – Maidens Mourn The President
25.07.2012 LISTEN

It was a quiet, dark and a cold day in the house today as the maidens after receiving the news of the passing of the president switched into a surprising super-solemn mood to mourn him. It was Promzy who seemed the hardest hit as she slumped back into the couch after asking for further explanation on what the term “passing on” means. It wasn't until it had been explained to her as meaning someone is actually dead that she seemed to have accepted what had happened.

The amazing thing is; there had been no signals of interest in politics whatsoever among the maidens since they came to the house. One could easily have assumed a complete lack of interest in the subject. However, the death of a President is no small issue and the maidens have only joined a whole nation as we all mourn the untimely passing of the president.

King Bomaye asked everyone to observe a minute of silence in honour of the president after which everyone dressed up in black to show their respect. The rest of the day saw the house continue in the mood as they went about their various activities. A Sad period in the Bomaye House and in Ghana indeed.
