Yutong Bus Saga: Watchout for Amina's movie
Do you remember the horrifying story about armed robbers attacking passengers aboard a Tamale-bound Yutong bus and forcing male passengers to rape female passengers?
I am talking about the incident that caused public uproar and shot the Yutong bus to prominence making one Amina Mohammed a villain and heroine at the same time.
She was arrested and prosecuted for causing fear and panic after divulging the horrifying incident on radio.
On Monday however, a High Court acquitted and discharged Amina Mohammed, the lead character in the infamous Amina Yutong bus saga for lack of evidence.
In her excitement she revealed to Joy FM she is contemplating shooting a movie to tell the story of the incident which happened at Kintampo, October 2010; the emotional trauma she endured during trial and how it affected her entire life.
A relieved Amina who claimed to have been abandoned by her family is seeking to use such a movie to win back her family who threw her out and her husband who deserted her.
It is yet unclear who the lead character of the movie would be but Amina would welcome suggestion from all.
So far interesting titles have come up for the movie which appears already scripted but is yet to hit set. Some of the titles that have come for consideration include Amina 1&2, Amina Yutong, The Tragic Bus Rape, The Saga of Amina and the Yutong Bus, and Amina and Yutong 1 & 2.
