The ten-chapter Adams Apples series which started last year hit its climax last Friday after the final chapter was premiered at the National Theatre.

The premiere was witnessed by a packed theatre audience who wanted to see the concluding story of the riveting movie.

While the final chapter capped an adventure filled life of the Adams family, there are indications that the series have not seen its end yet.

The series follow the lives of the Adams family made up of a widowed Ghanaian woman, an ex-diplomat's wife, and her three daughters in their early and mid thirties.

It captured how they work through domestic struggles, family life and personal battles to achieve success and happiness in a fast changing, 21st Century Ghana where love can elude the romantic; victory can be missed by the hardworking and marriage can forever be an illusion.

The final chapter saw the Adams family, Mrs. Adams (Anima Misa Amoah), Kukua (Naa Ashorkor), Jennifer (Joselyn Dumas) and Baaba (Yvonne Okoro) emerging victorious in their quest to find true love and happiness.

Director of the series Shirley Frimpong Manso told Myjoyonline.com after the premiere that the journey has “been extremely worth it,” but said there is a huge demand for a continuation.

“People are almost killing us to continue it so if the fans want it and if the sponsors are with it and there is a demand for it, then there is every possibility,” she disclosed.

She hinted further that, “There is a future for Adams Apples because the story is now out there and there is a possibility that the story will continue.”

Shirley, however noted that as much as there is a huge demand for a continuation, her outfit, Sparrow Productions, needs to be able to position itself to be able to maintain the standard or improve on it.

She explained that, it is key “so that we know that we can even do better than the ten we've done already because what we don't want to do is to continue and then, probably dips, in fact if we have to continue, it has to go so much higher,” which involves a lot of work and commitment.

Adams Apples, she passionately said, has been very close to my heart and it has opened the doors for bigger productions, including series, in the future.
