Grace Asibi If it were for popularity purposes alone , confident Grace Asibi would not need any creative avenue to stake her claim.

Five years ago, she became very popular, perhaps for the wrong reasons, when she took centre stage in an East Legon cocaine case for allegedly bribing two police officers with of $200,000.

Subsequently she went public and on one radio interview, she released what became a popular saying: “My life is in dangerous”.

Grace Asibi is now into movies as a producer. She has finished shooting her first movie, Back To The Road which she says Ghanaians are going to love when it’s finally released unto the market.

Talking about her debut production, Grace told Showbiz last week that the movie which features Frank Owusu, King Ayisoba and herself tells a story of how tribes have abandoned their way of doing things and have adopted western cultures.

“We are copying blindly from the western world which is very bad. I want to use this movie to tell every tribe in Ghana to be original” said Asibi.

The 31 year-old a business woman said coming out with her first production wasn’t an easy task. “I went through hell getting the crew, camera men for the movie and at a point in time,I even wanted to give up but because I had a message I want to put across, I still went ahead with it”

It is her dream that, in some years to come she would become one of the big producers in Ghana and feature all the top actors in her movies.

Back To The Road which was directed by Obinna Goddy Asuzu and Produced by Grace Asibi was shot in northern Ghana and it is scheduled for release next month.
