Ghana's international reggae music star, Rocky Dawuni, has expressed excitement at his nomination for the Best African Entertainer category at the International Reggae and World Music Awards to be held in July.
This is the second time he has been nominated in that category.
Rocky was nominated last year in two categories, Best Album and Best African Entertainer, and won the latter.
In an exclusive interview with Hitz FM , the Ghanaian reggae legend said he felt honoured that the organizers continued to acknowledge his contribution towards bringing African music and his brand of reggae music to the rest of the world.
He said it showed that he had been very active on the international scene.
He also disclosed that aside being excited about his nomination, he had also been given the rights to record an unreleased song written by legendry Bob Marley and it would be part of his upcoming album which would be released soon.
Rocky advised Ghanaians not to take the peace and stability in Ghana for granted but work together to ensure there was peace during the upcoming elections.
