Bola Ray's Empire Entertainment Celebrates 5 Years In Showbiz

Bola Ray's Empire Entertainment, one of Ghana's leading event organizers, is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a line-up of activities to be held in the country to entertain its clients and music fans.

Management of the company has pulled all the stops to ensure that the event is worthy of 5 years of quality entertainment and tremendous success.

The 5th anniversary celebrations began with a massive cleanup exercise from Radio Gold to Zongo junction in Accra with support from Zoomlion, Radio Gold and certain Ghanaian music stars, among others.

Some of the artistes who supported the cleanup exercise included Asaase Aban, Guru, Raquel and a host of others including some showbiz personalities.

According to the management of Empire Entertainment, a number of activities have been lined up to celebrate the company's 5 years in the showbiz industry in Ghana.

Some of the activities include a radio interview today, Tuesday, April 24, followed by a thank you party for its clients and friends at the company's premises at Lartebiokoshie in Accra on Thursday April 26 at 6:00pm.

On Friday April 27, there will be a mega musical bash at Krystis, located at East Legon, which will feature some selected hiplife and highlife music stars. On Saturday April 28 the company will fly its staff to Nigeria for a dinner dance.

On May 25, Empire Entertainment will organize a Champaign Party at the Trade Fair Centre, La in Accra, and on June 30 the company will host Ghana Meets Naija musical concert in Accra.

The Chief Executive Officer of Empire Entertainment, Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi aka Bola Ray, told BEATWAVES 'we are going to give Ghanaians something that is mind blowing, something that is unprecedented – never happened before in the history of Ghana's showbiz'.

Ghana meets Nigeria is going to be one of the biggest shows, if not the biggest to be staged in Ghana, he added.

Bola Ray was born on March 1, 1977 and is one of the entertainment industry's most successful and respected personalities. He is married with 2 beautiful children and is a staunch Christian.

He had his secondary education at Accra Academy. Afterwards he did his National Service at Radio Universe and then moved on to the School of Administration, University of Ghana, Legon (now the University of Ghana Business School).

While in his second year at the university, he also enrolled at the Central University College, where he studied Business Administration. He therefore holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Central University as well.

He is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Business Administration {MBA} at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.

He worked first as a presenter on Radio Universe, and then moved to Top Radio where he became the host of the 'Top City Jams' drive time show.

In 2003, he moved to Joy FM to become the host of the 'Drive Time Show' and has made it the most influential drive time show on radio in Ghana today. He is the first African to have hosted 'Top of the Pops' on BBC Radio.

Bola Ray is also an accomplished entrepreneur and is the Executive Director and founder of Empire Entertainment, which is an events, promotions, public relations, advertising and marketing company registered and operating in Ghana.

He is an MTN brand ambassador as well as an ambassador of the SOS Villages Ghana.

He was also awarded as Ghana's Most Popular Showbiz Personality at the City People Excellence Awards 2011 in Nigeria.

In April 2011 He was honoured at the Vector recognition Awards 2010 as a Professional Radio Presenter for the year 2010.
