The fight against malaria is about to take an artistic form, as a multi-media exhibition illustrating the impact of malaria opens on April 20, at the National Museum in Accra. 'Malaria: Blood, Sweat, and Tears' was conceived and produced by Malaria Consortium and photojournalist, Adam Nadel to highlight the history, science and global impact of malaria.

'Malaria: Blood Sweat and Tears' will showcase the complex relationships between malaria, poverty and the need for international support for combating the disease on a grand scale. More than 40 images by internationally acclaimed New York City-based photographer Adam Nadel bring to life the personal stories of malaria sufferers and malaria experts from all over the world. The collection provides information on all aspects of malaria – from the history to the science – and captures the new positive outlook as a result of recent progress made in reducing malaria deaths in some African countries by over 50%.

Adam Nadel is an award-winning photographer whose work has been exhibited globally and published widely.Produced and conceived by the UK based international charity Malaria Consortium and award winning photographer Adam Nadel, with the generous support of the European based health commodity producer Vestergaard Frandsen S.A, under the umbrella of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership and support from the National Museums of Ghana and Airtel Ghana, the exhibition will officially be launched on 20th of April at the National Museum in Accra to stakeholders and thereafter be open to the general public.
