Mariah Carey has maintained her diva reputation by reportedly bringing her own toilet roll to an interview.
The singer also had two people to lower her onto the famous GMTV sofa, GMTV presenter, Kate Garraway claimed in her New! magazine column.
Mariah, 39, was accompanied by a flunky to walk in front of her backwards to stop her from falling over.
She also had people behind the camera to ensure she was being filmed at her best angle.
The singer, the world's best-selling female artiste, was promoting her new single in a pre-recorded chat with Lorraine Kelly, broadcast last week.
Kate Garraway wrote in her column: “I've heard a lot of rumours about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It's all true!
“While Mariah was very nice, the number of people she had in her entourage was hilarious. 'They outnumbered the entire GMTV crew!
“She had two people to lower her onto the GMTV sofa, in case her dress got crushed, one person to walk in front of her backwards at all times in case she fell over and several people behind the camera making sure she was going to be filmed from the right angle....Oh, and she brought her own toilet roll as well!”
A rep for Carey has dismissed Garraway's claims, calling them a “clear, gross exaggeration.”
Carey has long been the target of diva rumours. Just last week, reports surfaced that she insisted on being surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 white doves for her appearance at a Christmas lighting event in London. She also reportedly demanded to be showered in butterfly-shaped confetti during the end of her performance.
But Carey has claimed most of these reports are overblown.
“I am baffled, shocked and appalled when I am called a diva,' she has said. 'I've never done a diva-ish thing in my life.”
