After putting up a thrilling performance and winning the Best Performer Award at the recently held MTV Africa Music Awards in Kenya, the management of Samini have confirmed of the much awaited collaboration between the Ghanaian
super star and top South African rapper & MTV award winner, HHP.
HHP admitted having the desire to work with Ghanaian artistes after meeting Samini in 2006 at the MTV Europe Music Awards. He also added that his experience with Kweku T in South Africa during the second season of Big Brother Africa further boosted his love for the Ghanaian musical style.
Jabulani Tsambo, better known as Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP) is a South African rap artist who performs in multiple languages, although primarily Setswana. HHP has six albums and a host of awards to his credit. He released his new album Acceptance Speech in December 2007 and the first single is called 'Music & Lights'. The video for Music & Lights features a couple of South African celebrities like Danny K and US R&B Star Amerie. On the 10th of October 2009, HHP was awarded the best video for the song “Mpitse” at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Kenya.
After returning from Kenya, Samini has been feverishly preparing for his Ghana Tour set to take off in November 2009. He intends to visit most if not all cities in Ghana.
