Isaab FC wins Juvenile gala competition

Amasaman (GAR), May 4, GNA - Isaab F/C of Mayera in the Ga West District became the gala champions of a two-day Gala competition organised by the District Juvenile Football Association at Amasaman. The competition was organised to select talented and competent players to represent the District in future assignments.

Isaab F/C won both the Under-14 and 17 divisions after beating Dream Makers Under 14 of Kutunse and Top Stars Under-17 of Amasaman through penalty kicks.

Fredrick Opare of Issab's Under 14 scored the winning goal for his side to clinch the top sport, while their Under 17 left winger, Sam Quaye converted his penalty kick to win the match on a 5-4 aggregate. The Gala brought together Golden Eagles of Sarpeiman, Cima F/C of Fise, Heart of Eagles of Kpobiman, Blue Angles of Manhean and Genesis of Pokuase.

Mr. Joseph Adjotey, Director of Isaab F/C who is also the District Structural Engineer of the Amasaman District Assembly who chaired the competition commended the teams for their splendid performances and team spirit.

He advised them to train harder and qualify to the various divisions of the football association.

Mr Adjotey called on the various club's to endeavour to attract and motivate more of the youth in area to engage in sporting activities as a way of laving them to idle around and indulging in anti-social activities.

The Director was supported by his team manager, Mr. Saah Mensah to present 16 pairs of boots, 16 pairs of hose and a set of jersey for the winning team.

Captain Fredrick Opare received the items on behalf of his colleagues and promised that they would put the equipment to good use.
