An International cultural organization based in the United States of America, the International Center for African Culture & Arts ( ICACA) has sent congratulatory messages to Asanteman and the Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu for choosing and presenting Nana Ama Konadu as the new Asantehemaa to succeed the late Asantehemaa Nana Afia Kobi.
Rev. Harold Akyeampong, the President of the organization sent the message from the premises of the United Nations Plaza, New York City during a working visit to the United Nations. He said that by the enstoolment process, the Asante nation has shown the world that the rich cultural heritage lives on. He commended the King makers, Asanteman royals and all the stake-holders at the Manhyia Palace for working behind the scene to select the best of the best to sit on the highest royal stool for the Asantehemaa. He said they are hopeful that Nana Ama Konadu will live up to expectation and trust reposed in her. He continued that, the Asanteman will continue to be at its glorious height as a beacon of rich cultural heritage in Ghana and Africa.
