U-17 prepare for Egypt,
.....Ghana Goes to camp Sunday
Preparations for an imminent trip to Egypt and Ghana by the national Under 17 team is in advance stage, according to the GFA.
Landing Aboy Colley, the GFA media and communications officer, told Observer Sports that the date for the departure of the Gambian team is yet to be confirmed. “First they will be leaving for Egypt, where they will play eight international friendly matches with the Egyptian youth team and selected first division teams within four weeks. They will then leave for Ghana where they will spend two weeks,” he said.
He added that the team will go to camp this Sunday, but its not yet clear how many players would be camped
The proposed trip to South Africa seemed to have been cancelled in view of the fact that that Country would play in the finals in Banjul. 'But so will Ghana. And so what is the big deal,'' said one analysts
