Accra, March 23, GNA - Five foreign-based professionals are expected in the country by the close of the week for Sundays' crucial Olympic Games qualifying match between the Black Meteors of Ghana and their Zambian counterparts at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

German based striker, Isaac Boakye, who on many occasions has not been able to join the team is expected in Accra by the close of Tuesday, March 23 together with Razak Pimpong and Yakubu Abubakari from Denmark and Holland respectively.

A source at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) who disclosed this to the GNA Sports said that the Israeli duo of John Painstil and Addoquaye Pappoe are expected to arrive in Accra on Wednesday, March 24, for the match.

The five players are coming at the invitation of the Meteors head coach, Mariano Barreto to beef up the squad for the game on Sunday. The match is a decider for both countries as Ghana is in a must - win situation in order to make it to the Olympic Games scheduled for Athens, Greece, whilst the Zambians will need a draw to enable them pick the ticket to qualify on top of Group D for the competition.
