The Black Starlets Management Committee, in conjunction with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has embarked on a nationwide selection exercise of the national Under-17 team. A press release issued by the Volta Regional Football Association on Wednesday and signed by its secretary Mr Paul Nutsugah, said the Regional Juvenile Committee will, as part of the exercise, organise a selection exercise next Sunday at the Ghana Police Training Depot Park at Ho from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to pick the region's quota of 11 players. The release reminded the 12 district assemblies (DAs) in the region to select and sponsor five players each and an accompanying official to represent their districts in the regional exercise. "The sponsorship by the assemblies should take care of their transportation to and from Ho and feeding". The statement reminded the DAs that only players born on or after January 1, 1986 would be considered for the selection exercise.
