THE Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Major General P.A. Blay, has urged military personnel to remain steadfast and uphold the code and ethics of the Ghana Armed Forces by exhibiting the highest sense of professionalism in the discharge of their duties. General Blay made the call when addressing a durbar of soldiers and civilian employees at the 37 Military Hospital during a visit aimed at obtaining first hand information at the hospital.

He assured the service personnel and their civilian counterparts that the Military High Command was making efforts to provide drugs and other medical facilities to improve healthcare delivery at all the garrisons.

“The military command is aware of the challenges facing the hospital and has embarked on frantic efforts to improve the conditions of the hospital,” the CDS added.

He urged service personnel to desist from acts that could geopadise their lives, and advised them to adopt good eating habits so as to stay healthy at all times.

The CDS commended the civilian employees for their hard work and dedication to duty, and assured that the GAF was doing everything possible to improve their conditions.
