Coach Bash plots Kotoko defeat

Former Kotoko coach Bashiru Hayford leads Kessben to play the Porcupine Warriors in the penultimate first round matches at the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium in Abrankese with revenge on his minds.

Hayford quit the defending champions in September last year after he was replaced by Belgian trainer Maurice Coreeman and demoted as an assistant.

It is believed the man who led Kotoko to the league crown last season and an appearance in the money zone of the Caf Confederation Cup has diabolical plans to pay them back.

He joined Kessben this term and has garnered some decent results in the league with the latest being a 2-3 win at Real Tamale United in midweek.

Kotoko have come on in leaps and bounds after a 3-1 win over Ittihad Khemisset in Africa and another 3-0 over Berekum Arsenals last Wednesday.

In Accra, there is regional derby between leaders Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals which have stuttered this term but have recovered two straight wins on the bounce.

The Phobians have an excessive injury list with as many as seven players in the treatment room but have strength in-depth to snuff out Liberty's challenge.

Sekondi Hasaacas host relegation-threatened Sporting Mirren at the Essipong Stadium with both sides having tasted defeats in midweek.

Sekondi Eleven Wise travel to Heart of Lions to complete their ties with the top three sides in the League after picking four points against Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

AshantiGold face Chelsea of Bechem at the Len Clay Stadium. King Faisal host All Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Gamba All Blacks play Real Tamale United at the Swedru Park and Arsenals have Tema Youth to deal with at the Golden City Park
