Citizen donates educational materials to school

Mr. Stephen Ameyaw, an Italy-based citizen of Nkrankwanta has presented educational materials worth thousands of

Ghana cedis to 252 basic school pupils at Nkrankwanta

in Dormaa municipality.

Mr. Ameyaw said the items, which comprised books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and other learning aids, were contributions by his friends in Italy to reciprocate his good human relations with them.

Presenting the materials, one of the Italian friends, Mr. Marino Managuti reminded parents that quality care for pupils resulted in quality academic achievements.

He advised parents to invest their resources in the future of their children.

Mr Charles Adomah, Assembly Member for Nkrankwanta, who received the items on behalf of the pupils expressed gratitude to Mr. Ameyaw and his friends and urged other citizens resident abroad to follow the shinning example.

In a related development, they also presented a water pumping machine to the Nkrankwanta health centre.

The centre, which, hitherto used out-moded methods to draw water from a hand-dug well to cater for its water needs.
