Emmanuel Saminy popularly known as Batman has urged all up coming hip-life musicians to be real and try and come out with their own styles.

If they stop copying, he said, they would get the right kind of exposure.

In an interview with ADM, he said it is not wrong to copy or emulate a top musician in the country or outside the country but 'I think it is better for the up-coming ones to have their own style, that way they can be recognized easily'.

Batman was in a television series 'Fresh Trouble' and his fans are wondering whether he wants to become a film actor. He told ADM that beside his music talent, he also has film acting talents and is planning to bring out a movie soon.

Batman is a well known hip-life artist in the country who has featured for other musicians including Mary Agyapong, King David, Nana King and Ofori Amponsah. He was born on November 22, 1981 and entered into hip-life music in 2001 after he completed Saint Margaret Mary Secondary School.

Batman earned recognition after he featured for King David in an album entitled “Aaye fe notse”. He was enthused by that experience and released what some commentators described as a controversial album “Linder”. This album sold very well in the market and was played widely.

'Linder” became the leading track for sometime and up till now it has not lost its recognition and credibility in the music industry.

Batman has only two albums to his credit in spite of the fame and popularity he has gained in the Ghanaian music industry and the world at large. One of the shows he said he had and would always remember is the show he put up in Canada.
