Ghanaian traders involved in cross-border trade with Burkina Faso have been urged to strictly comply with a new export ban on shea nuts and selected grains.
The Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC) warns that Burkina Faso has imposed strict restrictions on the export of shea nuts, millet, maize, and soybeans. Enforcement measures include confiscation of vehicles and prosecution of offenders, raising concerns among traders operating along the border.
Authorities are advising full compliance to avoid penalties and disruptions in cross-border trade activities.
