NDPC Finalising Consolidated National Development Plan After 10 Years of Delays

The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) is finalising a consolidated national development plan, bringing together four development plans that have not been fully implemented over the past decade.

Addressing the Economy and Development Committee of Parliament, Dr. Nii Moi Thompson, Board Chairman of the NDPC, emphasized the need for long-term thinking in Ghana's development agenda.

He noted that sustained national progress requires continuity in planning and implementation beyond political cycles, and stressed the importance of adopting a long-term approach to economic and social development.

The remarks were made during a meeting between the Commission and the Economy and Development Committee of Parliament as efforts continue to shape Ghana's future development trajectory.
