Philippine earthquake devastates communities
A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of the Philippines on Monday, June 8, killing at least 35 people and injuring more than 200. The quake caused widespread damage in General Santos City, collapsed buildings, triggered a deadly landslide in Sarangani province, and generated a tsunami with waves reaching up to one meter along nearby coastlines.
