The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Anthony Ntem, has called on residents living along Ghana's borders to protect international boundary pillars in order to safeguard the country's territorial integrity.

He urged border communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, damage, or encroachment on boundary markers to local authorities and security agencies.

Major General Ntem made the appeal during a five-day operational and human security assessment in the Volta Region, where he and his team examined the condition of boundary pillars and assessed community security needs.

The Commission emphasized that protecting boundary infrastructure is critical to maintaining clear national borders and preventing disputes or illegal encroachment.
